Spicy foods have many health benefits and may even help you lose weight. This week, we are talking all about hot peppers, and their beneficial traits.
Health Benefits of Peppers
Spicy peppers are delicious in many recipes, and have been shown to decrease your appetite during the meal; therefore, allowing you to eat less calories, and perhaps lose some weight. Also, they have anti-inflammatory benefits that reduce the risk of developing heart disease, certain cancer, etc.
They also, may help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels as well. Adding some spicy peppers and reducing the amount of salt that you use, is also a great way to help lower your blood pressure and water retention problems. Therefore, we recommend adding spicy peppers to your lunches and dinners, as long as they don't bother your digestive tract (causing symptoms).
